Plant Lighting

As the trend of indoor plant cultivation rapidly expands, efficient and controlled plant lighting solutions are in high demand across a wide range of applications, from hobby greenhouses to restaurant plant walls. LED systems with the correct spectral distribution optimize photosynthesis while minimizing energy costs. In particular, the balanced ratio of red (660 nm) and blue (450 nm) wavelengths supports all stages of plant development, from germination to flowering; the addition of white spectrum enhances leaf colors, increasing decorative value.

High-efficiency 2.7 µmol/J LED chips provide over 60% energy savings compared to traditional sodium lamps. Intelligent PWM drivers precisely adjust light intensity (PPFD) within the range of 100–800 µmol m⁻² s⁻¹, allowing the plant lighting scenario to be customized according to species and growth phase. The passively cooled aluminum bar housing eliminates fan noise and extends the maintenance interval with a 60,000-hour L80 lifespan. CRI ≥ 90 white additional LED modules reveal the true tones of plant leaves, enhancing the visual impact of decorative plant walls in cafes and hotel lobbies.

Mounting flexibility is provided by linear bars with suspension ropes and magnetic rail adapters. Modules can be chained together to create a continuous Plant Lighting line from 1 m to 6 m; a 120° wide-angle reflector ensures homogeneous light distribution in greenhouses, while a 60° narrow-angle reflector prevents yield loss between layers in high-shelf hydroponic systems. The IP65 water- and dustproof housing is unaffected by steam and humidity during irrigation; the IK08 tempered diffuser offers impact resistance.

The intelligent control layer includes Bluetooth Mesh and DALI-2 modules. Sunrise and sunset simulations can be performed via a digital timer; flowering is triggered by adding a 730 nm infrared “far-red” boost option during the night phase. Parameters such as PF ≥ 0.95 and THD ≤ 10% protect the lifespan of network equipment. Furthermore, sensor integration with temperature and CO₂ data optimizes plant lighting intensity in real time, shortening harvest time.

Sustainability is further supported by the use of a housing made from 90% recycled aluminum and lead-free solder-halogen-free cable. LED modules, classified as Group 0 in the EN 62471 photobiological classification, are safe for both user and plant health. Ossam Lighting provides IES & PPFD files for all models, offering designers accurate simulation capabilities; post-commissioning digital twin monitoring reports light intensity and energy consumption. Thus, Ossam Lighting's plant lighting solutions combine high efficiency, low cost, and long-lasting performance in every area, from hobby greenhouses to commercial vertical farms.
