Shop Lighting

In retail spaces, the store lighting strategy, which enlivens every detail from the display window to the shelves, directly influences purchasing decisions. The right light displays products in their true colors, directs store flow, and offers an inviting atmosphere to the customer. Thanks to the high efficiency and flexible optics offered by LED technology, modern store lighting both saves energy and strengthens the store's identity.

Planning begins with a three-layered approach: general area, accent, and decorative lighting. 24° narrow-angle track spotlights placed on the ceiling rail highlight the combination on the mannequin with focused light; linear spotlights with microprismatic diffusers provide a homogeneous 400-450 lux level in the aisle. LED strips hidden under the shelves eliminate shadows, completing the store lighting composition. CRI ≥ 95 chips maintain color accuracy in fabric textures, while the 3000 K warm white tone preserves the naturalness of skin tones in the cosmetics area.

In narrow display window volumes where thermal management is critical, injection-molded aluminum-bodied spotlights are used; The 60,000-hour L80 lifespan eliminates the risk of mid-season lamp replacement. Flicker-free drivers ensure flicker-free images when sharing on social media with a phone camera. Smart Bluetooth Mesh modules allow for scene switching via a mobile app to increase light intensity by 20% during sales periods or reduce the window display ambiance to ‘night mode’ at the end of the day. This supports dynamic campaign management for store lighting.

Installation is practical and doesn't disrupt sales. The three-phase rail system with plug-in spotlights can be moved to a new position without cable routing when shelf arrangements are renewed. High PF (≥ 0.95) and low THD (≤ 10%) protect store POS systems from mains noise. IP44 protected luminaires offer reliable performance even on condensation-prone winter evenings.

Sustainability is further enhanced by the use of a 90% recycled aluminum housing and halogen-free cables with lead-free solder. The UV-stable PMMA diffuser showed no yellowing during the three thousand-hour Q-SUN test, guaranteeing the long-lasting aesthetics of the Shop Lighting system. The LED modules, classified as Group 0 according to EN 62471 photobiological classification, pose no risk to eye health.

Thanks to the IES/LDT files provided to the designer, lux, uniformity, and glare values are pre-verified with Dialux simulations; the results measured in the field highly match the simulations. This holistic approach is embodied in the value that Ossam Lighting Engineering brings to the project. With post-commissioning digital twin monitoring and remote energy reports, Ossam Lighting ensures the Shop Lighting performance of your store for years to come.
